Shopping center Vendome Mall

The Vendome Place complex estimated at almost 1.5 billion dollars is located in the heart of the newly emerging city of Lusail, which is being built specifically for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

This complex, covering 1 million square meters, is situated on the Lusail quay, with a canal leading from the Persian Gulf to the square, and at the heart of it stands the Vendome Mall center. The four floors with designer interiors will house shops and boutiques of 500 different brands, a hypermarket, cafes and restaurants with a view of the canal, movie theaters and other recreational venues. Moreover, two five-star luxury hotels will open there as well.

The accent of this luxurious complex is illustrated by panoramic windows and partially glass facades, highlighting the French style. The total surface area of the glass used is nearly 35 thousand square meters. The silver shaded laminated glass units consist of 8 and 6 mm thick panes.

In building this complex, the architecture class Pilkington Suncool^® Silver 50/27 glass was chosen, with its silvery tint and a high degree of reflection. Double Silver^® magnetic coating provides high light transmission, sun protection and energy efficiency.

The colored glass doesn't cause any discomfort indoors by letting light through without tinting it. The silver shade brings out the bright facades of the buildings outside, yet it is hardly visible from the inside. The use of triplex helps improve the soundproofing properties of the windows.
