DEWA Moro Hub

Pilkington Suncool® 40/22 Pro T

DEWA Moro Hub

The state-of-the-art data center Moro Hub was the first facility in Dubai to use Pilkington glass produced at a factory in Russia. This global digital hub was constructed by Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA). It is situated in the future-oriented Dubai Marina district that emerged around the man-made bay in the west part of the city. This district is one of the most fashionable yacht marinas in the world.

The digital hub covers a total area of 3.5 thousand square meters. There is a parking lot available in the inner yard. The geometry of the building takes a unique shape. The curved facade resembles the letter D, referring to its parent company DEWA. The office premises feature large panoramic windows.

The total glazing area of the building amounts to 4 thousand square meters. The site used 8 millimeter thick Pilkington Suncool® 40/22 Pro T architectural grade glass. The perfect product for Dubai's hot climate. Only 22% of solar heat is transmitted through the glass. This allows to greatly reduce the strain on indoor air conditioning. Due to the excellent light transmission of this glass, the interior is comfortably bright, and because of its low reflectivity, the gleams from indoor elements are next to none.
